Jelly Bean Android devices at 40%

The latest version of the Google operating system, Android Jelly Bean is in increasing use, while Gingerbread and continues its slow decline, losing dominant position as the most used version of the operating system.
Jelly Bean is now 40.5 percent of all active Android devices, said according to the official website of Google Android, which has published numbers for July. This increase compares with 37.9 percent in June.
Old version of Gingerbread, which has stubbornly maintained the largest use since launching in December 2010, has fallen to 33.1 percent from 34.1 percent the month was in June 2013.
According to Phandroid, these percentages do not represent all of the Android operating system, especially in markets like China where older versions of Android are still used.
